oblō: the new Snaidero magazine

“oblō” is the new magazine that presents Snaidero’s perspective on industry trends, produced in collaboration with Bestetti Associati (Creative Direction) and Designwork (Artistic Direction). It offers an editorial overview of Snaidero’s latest offerings, interspersed with in-depth features and interviews on industry topics, guided by the principles of Design, Research, and Appeal.

A porthole is a threshold. An oval shape that forms skies and
landscapes. The porthole is also the defining element of the Snaidero headquarters designed by Angelo Mangiarotti. Inspired by the window of an aircraft or a ship, it is an architectural motif that has become an identity.

The view through a porthole is always twofold. From inside out. From outside in. "oblō", Snaidero’s new magazine, is born in the same spirit. It opens onto architecture and the trajectories of design, while at the same time inviting you into the workshopof projects, stories and journeys that take shape within the company.

The alchemy of matter - oblō n° 1 april 2026

The first issue of "oblō" is dedicated to matter.

Or more precisely, to the alchemy, of matter, its capacity to transform into something else: architecture, design, inspiration. We have made it the protagonist by bringing together past, present and future. The photographic project by Matteo Lavazza Seranto explores the roots: the materials of the Snaidero building designed by Angelo Mangiarotti. Heritage is also at the heart of the dossier on Etra by Gae Aulenti, who in the 1990s used marble, wood and glass in an innovative way.

Snaidero’s present speaks through the voices of Kicco Bestetti and Artemio Croatto, the company’s creative and art directors, and takes shape in a prestigious New York residence. The future is revealed in a series of previews: from the moodboards reinterpreted by Leandro Favaloro, which showcase the new finishes across the natural stone, quartz and ceramic families, to the story of the ribbed aluminium wood, developed exclusively for Snaidero.

The compositions in the Assaggi di vita section highlight both new finishes and the latest product innovations, such as the Rialto 360° showcase unit, the versatile Modula living room modularities and interior accessory solutions.

To use matter as a lens is to offer a distinctive perspective on the kitchen. And that is the ambition of Oblò: to be a frame through which to look at the world of design.
